Την περασμένη Κυριακή έφυγε το 6ο τριαξωνικό γεμάτο πλαστικά μπουκάλια από το νησί μας. Άλλους 6 τόνους για το εργοστάσιο ανακύκλωσης.
Όπως θα δείτε στις φωτογραφίες, πολλά χέρια κάνουν την δουλειά γρήγορα και ευχάριστα!

Last Sunday one more truck full with plastic bottles left our island. Another 6 tonnes went straight to the recycling factory. As you can see on the pictures, many hands make light work!

Το περιμέναμε με τόση αγονία, αγχωθήκαμε μήπως δεν πουληθούν τα εισιτήρια. Ετοιμάσαμε την σάλα όταν χιόνισε (!) και φοβηθήκαμε για το καιρό. Φτιάξαμε τούρτες και στολίδια, βοηθήσαμε στην κουζίνα, ετοιμάσαμε ένα παιχνίδι μπινγκο και επιτέλους έφτασε η ώρα……………….και……………
Όχι μόνο εξαντλήθηκαν τα εισιτήρια αλλά είχαμε μια τεράστια λίστα αναμονής!
Ο καιρός ήταν υπέροχος με ήλιο σχεδόν όλη μέρα και το βράδυ δεν έκανε πάρα πολύ κρύο.
Νομίζω ότι μπορώ να πω ότι ήταν μια όμορφη βραδιά και θ’ αφήσω να μιλούν οι φωτογραφίες από μόνες τους.

Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ σε όλους όσους βοήθησαν αφιλοκερδώς.
Ειδικά τον Θανάση Αγιώτη που μας έδωσε την αίθουσα και την κουζίνα του, τον Γιάννη Δεληγιάννη και τον Στάθη Γαρυφάλλου που μαγείρεψαν και τους μουσικούς Κώστα Μουτζούρη, Θανάση Αϊβαλιωτη, Γιώργο Καρυπίδη και την Κική Κωσταρά που έκαναν όλους να τραγουδούν και να χορεύουν.

We were looking forward to this night with a lot of anticipation and we were quite worried that we wouldn’t be able to sell all the tickets.
The day we started getting the taverna ready, it was snowing so we were also nervous about what weather it would be.
We made cakes and plastic bottle decorations, we helped in the kitchen, prepared a bingo game and finally the night had arrived …….and…….
Not only were all the tickets completely sold out, we had a long waiting list as well!
The weather was great all day and it wasn’t too cold at all in the evening.
I think I can say that it was a great night and everybody had a good time. The pictures speak for themselves.
A big thank you to everybody that helped the make this evening a success.
Especcially toThanasis Agiotis who gave us his premises to use, to Yannis Deligiannis and Stathis Garyfalloy who cooked the meal and to the musicians Costas Moutzouris, Thanasis Aibaliotis, Giorgos Karipidis and singer Kiki Kostara who made sure everybody danced.
It was a night to remember.

Πέρασε ήδη ένας χρόνος από τότε που πρωτογνωριστήκαμε. Ευκαιρία λοιπόν να το γιορτάσουμε.

Που για μένα ήταν μια σπουδαία χρονιά γιατί γεννήθηκα. Ελπίζω το 2012 με την βοήθεια σας να ενηλικιωθώ.
Και σε όλο τον κόσμο εύχομαι η καινούρια χρονιά να είναι γεμάτη με υγεία, αγάπη και δύναμη.
Which for me as a great year because it was the year I was born.
I hope that in 2012 with your help I can mature.
And for everybody I wish the New Year will be full of health, love and strength.
